One of the most common problems when using Photoshop is the unexpected arrival of the Photoshop hand tool. I’m not the only one receiving this issue, tons upon tons of people are
all having the same issue and are seeking for help via various blogs / forums / other communicative mediums. Today I’m here to set the score straight and to allow you to start growing back all that hair you’ve been pulling out in regards to this whole complicated issue.
Here is one of the first results found when searching the keywords “Photoshop Hand Tool”.
Recently I was working in Adobe Photoshop CS3 for a client’s website project, all of a sudden my Photoshop wouldn’t display anything but the “hand” icon. No matter what tool I selected, I would always have the hand icon and not getting the tool I wanted. No move tool, no type tool, nothing. I did a quick search on the internet and couldn’t find much so i’m bookmarking my solution here.
Well, the fix is annoyingly simple as it only requires you to hit your Space Bar… Instead of hitting it at this point i wouldn’t be half surprised if you slammed it.Please do keep in mind if this does not work you can reset your preferences under the Edit > Preferences . Reset all warning dialogs.
Other than what I’ve explained above there’s nothing really else which will resolve the issue, and if after troubleshooting all of the above and you are still receiving this hand of death. Well.. You’ve got me there.
Best of luck guys!

I’ve been asked to review a website called Classifieds Giant. Although i’m located in Australia i thought this would be of more interest to my American viewers, as it’s really only available in America. In a nutshell it’s very similar to the Australian website GumTree in a sense, as it allows free posting of ads and free buying of products.
It’s good to see auction sites like this popping up everywhere these days, eliminating the middle man and allowing buyer & seller to have one easy non-complicated transaction. The site itself is very easy to navigate and has ridiculously fast loading times, which is important on any auction site because as you’ll find out fighting for the things you want most require speed and speed is loading times.
Overall, I’d say it’s a fantastic Free Classifieds solution and it’s an easy to use website, which over time should become large and filled with content, I’d advise you to go check them out over at Classifieds Giant, whilst you’re there you could you buy something for me perhaps… Just kidding. Hope you’ve all had a great week.

One very cool feature of Windows Vista – especially for machines not natively equipped with the kind of horsepower to fully enjoy the rich visuals of Windows Presentation Foundation (Avalon) applications is ReadyBoost. ReadyBoost enables you to plug a USB key into your machine and have Windows Vista use it as memory. I hadn’t actually used this myself, but had heard of it long ago. When a reader emailed me asking if this was an urban legend, I decided to check it out for myself and was very impressed with how easy and seamless the process is.
Installing/Configuring the USB Key as Memory
First I took a standard USB 2.0 key (I’ll list the prerequisites shortly) and plugged it into my machine. I’m running Windows Vista Beta 2, Build 5346, but I’m told that this works with the latest CTP made available to beta and TAP members as well as MSDN Subscribers. Upon plugging the USB key into my computer, I was greeted with the standard “AutoPlay” dialog box asking how I wanted to the operating system to treat the USB key. However, with ReadyBoost I get the additional option (circled below in the screen capture) of using the key to “speed up my system”.
AutoPlay dialog box displayed when a valid USB Key is inserted into a machine running Windows Vista
Once I click the “Speed up my system” option, the Properties dialog box for the device is displayed where I can specify to start/stop ReadyBoost usage of the device and how much space I want used as a memory cache. (Actually, according to one of the Product Specialists here, this space is used more as a flash-based page file than true RAM, but the impact is that the more space you choose here, the more benefit you’ll get in terms of overall system performance.)
The device Properties dialog box allows you to turn on/off ReadyBoost for that device and to set the exact size of the cache.
(In order to return to this dialog box, open the Computer window, right-click the drive (F: in this case) and select Properties. From there, click the Memory tab (as shown in the previous screen capture and adjust the settings as needed).

Battle of the Immortals is an action packed free to play MMORPG from the creators of Perfect World. The game was built using a different engine than previous Perfect World Entertainment titles and plays like an old school action-RPG. The isometric camera view, and ‘2.5D’ graphics aren’t cutting edge, but Battles of the Immortals has plenty of interesting features to pick up the slack.
Cookie Cutter Characters
The closed beta for Battle of the Immortals started on April 13th, 2010 and is scheduled to end on April 30th. After a wipe, the open beta should start shortly after. Each server has multiple channels which are duplicates of the same game world. This feature keeps certain areas from suffering overpopulation while still allowing friends to play together. Players are given five character slots per server which is just enough for the game’s 5 classes. The classes are all standard fantasy archetypes and include Berzerker (damage dealing warrior), Champion (tank), Slayer (rogue), Magus (mage), and Heretic (priest.) Character customization is very limited. Players can chose from five hair styles and ten face styles. That’s it. Regardless of the options selected, characters end up looking very much alike.
A Diverse World
The game world of Battle of the Immortals borrows heavily from an assortment of cultures. New players start off in an Egyptian setting, but are soon catapulted to the bottom of the ocean, then onto the exotic Easter Island. Asian themed areas are also included, as is a frigid Nordic island. The varied environments help keep the visuals interesting, but the game’s heavy use of automation means most players will never feel immersed in the game world. Controls are simple enough. Like most games with isometric camera views, movement is done exclusively with the mouse. That means Battle of the Immortals is a click-to-move game, but keyboard shortcuts are available to make interface navigation and skill use much easier. A series of help menus provide new players with basic instructions, but the controls themselves are not complicated. Instead, players will pick up the basics as they complete a never ending chain of quests.

Recently, the newest MMORPG from GPotato, the same portal that brought us Flyff, Luna Online and Tales Runner went on a closed beta phase and I was one of the lucky few who was able to get an invitation to try it first hand. It’s called Allods Online and will soon be available to the general public, as a free-to-play-for-life game. The game was developed by Astrum Nival, the same developer who gave us Heroes of Might and Magic V and Rage of Mages. Country of production is Russia, and at the moment, Allods is considered to be largest game development project in the Russian history which boasts of a $12 million budget.
Allods Online is more on the Western gaming style approach as opposed to the more popular Korean-ish MMORPGs at the market today. However there were quite a lot of same feats you can find in the game that you can completely compare to what World of Warcraft (WoW) and Flyff contains. Graphics wise, Allods is refreshingly cool. The game is optimized to be played to even old laptop and desktop models.
You can actually play the game in a Pentium III with a 32mb graphics card. The game is not ‘laggy’ even with full effects and with maximum game settings applied. Allods Online initially offers two war factions, six races and eight archetypes with the option to choose form their 28 classes with hundreds of skills.Over 1,500 quests are available for the ones who love doing them, the ones who are lazy enough to level and more on the questing side.

Lot’s of forum talks, lot’s of articles on Motorola internals, but none seemed to work 100%, and rather worked 97%. There was still this 3% that kept Motorola V3 RAZR owners from unlocking the phone… Here are tested, and proved to complete all 100%, steps that will let you unlock your Moty.
First, let’s get ready. All the tools that you can download below are MS Windows based (if you are using different OS, like Mac or, like me – Ubuntu, you can install MS Windows in a virtual box).
Ok, so assuming you are using MS Windows, these are the tools you will need to use:
- “p2k drivers 2.9” – This is a set of drivers that will enable your PC/Laptop and RAZR V3 to communicate.
- “scotty2_8.26_downgrader_v2” – this is the tool written by scotty2 which downgrades your phone’s bootloader from (8.26, 8.23, 7.E0) to 7.D0, which is needed for the next tool to unlock it.
- “P2K_Easy_Tool_v37” – this is an actual “unlocker” tool.
- MiniUSB to USB cable
in order to connect your RAZR V3 to PC/Laptop.
Now the first thing first…
Step 1. Download the tools above, unpack them (unrar, unzip – here is a good tool for that tugzip)
Step 2. Plug in your phone to the computer using (#4) miniUSB to USB cable and install the drivers. Windows will ask you to install the drivers once the phone is plugged in, so just point it to the right directory where you unpacked them

Dearest creature in creation,
Study English pronunciation.
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse.
I will keep you, Suzy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
Tear in eye, your dress will tear.
So shall I! Oh hear my prayer.
Just compare heart, beard, and heard,
Dies and diet, lord and word,
Sword and sward, retain and Britain.
(Mind the latter, how it’s written.)
Now I surely will not plague you
With such words as plaque and ague.
But be careful how you speak:
Say break and steak, but bleak and streak;
Cloven, oven, how and low,
Script, receipt, show, poem, and toe.
Hear me say, devoid of trickery,
Daughter, laughter, and Terpsichore,
Typhoid, measles, topsails, aisles,
Exiles, similes, and reviles;
Scholar, vicar, and cigar,

It always seems to be that I’m finding myself searching for streaming sites continuously due to hundreds of dead links, really i was about to give up!
As i was lurking around the internet i found Yidio. Yidio is a site which indexes massive amounts of movies and television episodes in strict categories and genres to make your searching experience an easy one. As you can see in the picture below the sign up process is really simple as it’s got a facebook connect back end. This facebook connect back end allows you to nearly instantly link up all your existing information from facebook and import it into the registration process on Yidio.

The massive amount of social integration Yidio has with multiple social platforms makes using Yidio a treat as you can broadcast what your currently watching, the television series you just finished, videos you have set as one of your favorites, play lists you’ve created and much, much more.

Now when it comes down to search precision and speed, well… Yidio pretty much handles it hands down. With over 100+ streaming video links for a single episode you could pretty much guarantee the next episode or movie search you do will be very quick, and very rewarding. With the public index of links, people actually have the privilege to edit or remove links. Allowing the people to control the content on the site instead of moderators, really will make a massive difference.

Yidio also have a rewards system, this system allows you to earn points for certain activities you may complete around the Yidio website. Such activities include favouriting a video, watching an episode, commenting on someones media, adding a friend, inviting friends, posting updates to twitter, faceboook, gmail… You get the point.

I’m going to end this review some simple instructions. Stop screwing around in google looking for streaming movie links, go to Yidio search for your series or movie subscribe to that series or watch that movie. It’s simple, fast and efficient.
Hope this review helps you out and sheds some light on your streaming world!

Well it’s been two or so years since i moved to Melbourne so i think it deserves a review. I’ll be going over a few things which are important to anyone thinking about moving here or staying here for a brief period of time. Hopefully my review helps you in some way and makes your transition a comfortable one.

Melbourne have a perfect public transport system called MetLink which makes one card / ticket / myki work on all forms of public transport such as buses, trains & trams. Trains & Trams usually operate up until 1:00AM and then resume at about 5:00AM, whilst buses have a Night Rider service which allows you to keep home at really late hours of the night, great for those of you who are party goers.
Metlink have a fantastic online site which allows you to plan your trips with in-depth times, maps and other tools to help make your use of public transport easier.
