The Elite-Tek Melbourne Wireless Project!

Hello,

You’ve probably come here from a curiosity based on the fact that I’m polluting half of north Melbourne with my dirty wireless internet.

I’ve made this possible using a 24DBI gain parabolic DISH! *(Which is mounted on the roof now)*..

Eventually this connection will be sitting on a Cable T1 link, which i may issue out to certain people for a price or with friends down town for file sharing / media streaming purposes.

For now it’s a project that I’m highly interested in lol.

The difference between the wifi streams are as below.

Low Quality – This is provided from a DLINK 524 which piggy backs into the DISH.

Medium Quality – This is provided from a Netgear WG302 Pro Safe Wireless Access Repeater.

High Quality – This is provided by the same Netgear just with a modified Packet Burst rate and a few other radius tweaks etc…
