WeLoveIt.com – An awesome review!

Well, it’s been about three days since my last post and to be honest i feel terrible about not brightening up your days with either a boring or half interesting post!

So i’ve stumbled across  a website dedicated for the sharing and indexing of peoples treasured photos & artworks. The twist on the site is the fact that the community can actually vote and comment on certain pictures allowing certain pictures to raise up above the others.

It’s very similar to news aggregation sites which allow it’s content to be manipulated and handled by the user, instead of having some sort of moderation or middle man policy. Below i’ll include some pictures and some information provided in the about us section on the website.

What is We Heart It?
• It’s where you keep your inspirationWe Heart It lets you create an online album (a heart) with your favorite images and videos.At the same time you can see what other people are adding to their own hearts and save it on yours to grow your collection.

How it works
• Create your heartYour Heart is your personal page on We Heart It, it’s where you’ll put all the images and videos you like. Click on the “Join Us” link on the top of the page to create it.
• Heart somethingWhen you see something you like at We Heart It, just click on the heart over the image.
  It will fill up, that means that image is on your heart now.
• Add TagsDescribe the images you heart with tags. That makes easier for you and everyone else to find it again. If you click on a tag you can see all the images tagged with that.
• See details of an imageWhen you click an image you can see it bigger, who hearted it, tags added to it, comments made on it, similar images, the original site where it was found… Many many things!
• Follow other peopleSee other people’s heart by clicking their photo. On their heart you can choose to follow them and see all their updates at once on the home page.
• Add things from other sitesTo do that first you have to add our special button to your browser. Then, when you see an image you like at any site, click this button to tag the image and add it to your heart.
