What is Allods online

Recently, the newest MMORPG from GPotato, the same portal that brought us Flyff, Luna Online and Tales Runner went on a closed beta phase and I was one of the lucky few who was able to get an invitation to try it first hand. It’s called Allods Online and will soon be available to the general public, as a free-to-play-for-life game. The game was developed by Astrum Nival, the same developer who gave us Heroes of Might and Magic V and Rage of Mages. Country of production is Russia, and at the moment, Allods is considered to be largest game development project in the Russian history which boasts of a $12 million budget.
Allods Online is more on the Western gaming style approach as opposed to the more popular Korean-ish MMORPGs at the market today. However there were quite a lot of same feats you can find in the game that you can completely compare to what World of Warcraft (WoW) and Flyff contains. Graphics wise, Allods is refreshingly cool. The game is optimized to be played to even old laptop and desktop models.
You can actually play the game in a Pentium III with a 32mb graphics card. The game is not ‘laggy’ even with full effects and with maximum game settings applied. Allods Online initially offers two war factions, six races and eight archetypes with the option to choose form their 28 classes with hundreds of skills.Over 1,500 quests are available for the ones who love doing them, the ones who are lazy enough to level and more on the questing side.
The trailer is nice but i played flyff and i don’t think the sort of game can become a challenge for the top MMO’s there are right now. Still the budget for the game ($12 million) is quite impressive.
